Sarosh Vesuna

Vice President of Business Development

Sarosh Vesuna is responsible for identifying and developing strategic relationships that leverage Meru’s unique WLAN architecture and premier technology position.

Vesuna joined Meru Networks from Motorola, where he served as senior director of strategy and business development. At Motorola, he was responsible for acquisitions, partnerships, and the overall direction of the company's WLAN business. 

Prior to Motorola, Vesuna spent 15 years at Symbol Technologies, leading multiple initiatives in voice over IP, location systems, mobility management, and network security. During his tenure at Symbol, he coauthored the IEEE 802.11 WLAN protocol and cofounded the Wi-Fi Alliance, where he served on the board of directors for five years. He also initiated and nurtured many complex OEM relationships, including a multimillion-dollar deal with Intel that led to the Centrino platform.

Previously, Vesuna held executive positions at Chips & Technologies (acquired by Intel), Wyse Technology (acquired by private equity), and AMD. Vesuna holds eight U.S. patents and eight published patent applications. He is a frequent author of articles in industry publications and a speaker at wireless, networking, and investment conferences.

Vesuna holds an MSEE from The Pennsylvania State University and a BSEE from the University of Bombay, and has completed executive education from MIT Sloan and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
