Anil Batra joins Meru Networks as the Vice President of International Sales. He will be responsible for developing and managing sales strategies and policies for Meru Business in Asia Pacific, Canada, and Latin America.

Most recently, Batra served as the Vice President of Global Accounts at Juniper Networks. Prior to this, he was responsible for developing and managing channel strategies and policies for sales of Juniper products into Latin America and Canada as the Vice President of Channels.

A 30-year industry veteran, Anil Batra started the operations of Cisco Systems in India and was the President of India and the SAARC Region for Cisco Systems from 1994 to 2000. He was responsible for developing the networking market in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Under Batra's leadership Cisco witnessed a hundred per cent growth in the Indian subcontinent year on year and maintained its number one position in the Indian networking industry.

Before joining Cisco, Batra was the Founder and Managing Director of APT Technologies Private Limited a leading networking solutions provider and the Country Channels Manager for Hewlett-Packard India.

Batra holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering as well as a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
