Prior to joining Meru Networks, Steve Troyer was senior director of product marketing for Juniper Networks Worldwide Channels, with responsibility for managing the enterprise and security product portfolios. He also led the sales integration initiatives for several acquisitions including Funk Software, Peribit, and Redline Networks.

Prior to Juniper, he founded and led the product marketing team for Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems, where he championed the growth of the wireless product portfolio to address home control, entertainment and small business applications in addition to broadband sharing for the consumer market. Previous to Linksys, he was director of product management for Worldwide Channels, where he drove the channel initiatives for Cisco’s enterprise and commercial markets including the LAN switching, enterprise routing, wireless, security and IP telephony product portfolios.

Troyer’s early career included channel sales and marketing roles with 3Com, NetFRAME Systems and Apple. He earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA from Williams College (MA.)
