Hilton Central School District
When Hilton Central School District wanted to give students better access to technology in the classroom, wireless was the obvious choice.
Located in Hilton, New York and serving 4,600 students, the district had deployed a Cisco-based WLAN early on, but eventually discovered that another solution was necessary. With density requirements and future plans for supporting sophisticated applications—including the possibility of voice—traditional WLAN equipment wasn’t an option. The district turned to Meru’s Wireless LAN System to give students immediate access to applications and multimedia-rich content in the classroom, while simultaneously lowering overall costs.
