Mona Shores School District

Mona Shores, a K-12 school district located in Muskegon, Michigan, understood that deploying a wireless network could bring a wealth of valuable applications, including Internet and email access, streaming media, standards-based testing, grading, web-page authoring, and a variety of database applications to its 4,300 students, 225 teachers, and 550 employees. However, until the District selected Meru’s Wireless LAN System and actually began deploying its network, it did not realize that it could also make the WLAN its primary access network for all applications, thereby realizing substantial costs savings in the process.

By deploying Meru’s unique, single channel architecture WLAN System throughout Mona Shores’ four elementary schools, middle school, high school, and administrative buildings, the district is dramatically simplifying deployment and management of its wireless network. This is saving valuable teacher time in the classroom and costly network administration expenses.
