I am an IT Director
Meru's is the only system based on Virtualized Wireless LANs, a technology that streamlines network design, uses less equipment, and simplifies management while making the network more powerful, predictable and scalable. The network is:
- Easy to Manage. Virtualization eliminates RF complexities so you can focus on deploying new applications. Meru's Virtual Port makes provisioning new network connections as easy as provisioning a wired port, with bandwidth and quality-of-service settings customizable for each client. Meru's E(z)RF management suite gives IT administrators a single and central interface to all wireless access points and controllers, whether spread across a single building, a large campus or a regional school district.
- Application Aware. The list of required applications continues to grow. With application-aware quality of service that can classify traffic based on both deep packet inspection and flow signatures, Meru makes adding new application types over wireless easy, whether those applications are educational tools, collaborative learning, video learning or surveillance, or IP telephony.
- Efficient. Meru's Virtual Cell preserves RF spectrum and allows access points to be deployed at full RF power, providing greater signal strength and coverage with 30% fewer APs. As a result, access points can each support more clients and are better able to serve the challenging physical environments found throughout schools and educational institutions.
