Love Stockholm: The Swedish Royal Wedding

The assignment from the City of Stockholm was to provide a media center, theme areas and hot spots around the city with fast wireless connections. The Media Centre, which is the largest and most complex ever built in Sweden, had approximately 3,000 journalists covering the event. To handle that communication pressure required proven wireless technology, provided by Meru Networks, DataCom and Clavister.

CME Group

CME Group grew out of the merger of the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 2007. It is the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, serving up to 1200 traders at one time in a crowded pit where connectivity is critical.

CME chose Meru because virtualized Wireless LANs provide Wi-Fi connectivity with the certainty, security and speed needed for traders moving millions of dollars a day. Anthony Marano is a leading wholesale fresh produce distributor in the Chicago area that uses a Meru wireless LAN as the Wi-Fi infrastructure for its hybrid Fixed Mobile Convergence network.

New Line Learning Federation

New Line Learning Federation is a group of two academies in the United Kingdom catering to 2700 students. New Line Learning Federation makes extensive use of IT and mobile technologies to support their learning programs.

Meru's 802.11n wireless LAN provides connectivity for whole year groups (an entire grade being the U.S. equivalent), comprising of 120 students, to simultaneously log into and use network resources in their pioneering "plazas". Only Meru's Air Traffic Control technology, with it's ability to layer "virtual cells", can easily cope with such high user densities in a single space, whilst eliminating the issues of radio interference commonly seen in 3rd Generation microcell vendors' solutions.

Norway Trade Fairs upgraded their Meru WLAN-solution to the next generation 802.11n standard to sure that their employees, exhibitors and visitors could rely on the wireless network throughout the entire 38,000 square meters exhibition area. The exhibitors have now a total area access to over 64,000 square meters fully covered by VoIP-enabled high speed wireless LAN and hot-spots provided by Meru Networks via their integrator Datek Installasjon.
